Alderman’s of Vermont Chocolate is located on the Monkton Ridge nestled in the foothills of Addison County Vermont.In 2007 Sam and Darcee Alderman sold their home quit the corporate world and moved their four daughters to Monkton Vermont where they purchased the Monkton General Store. For the next ten years Sam and Darcee ran the small local country store supplying the community with generalized merchandise that included a deli day to day needs and an array of baked goods that Darcee delighted in making for the community. In 2017 Darcee introduced a peanut butter truffle and coconut almond truffle to her stock. The truffles became a top seller immediately. Darcee began introducing more flavors of truffles to the community and realized her calling as an Artisan of high-quality chocolates. That same year Darcee established Alderman’s of Vermont Chocolate. Over the next few years she shifted the General store from a deli and general merchandise store to an Old Fashion decadent chocolate store. When you enter Alderman’s of Vermont you will find Darcee making chocolate the old fashion way by hand. Darcee tempers her own chocolates pours her own molds and packages all chocolate by hand. Completing each of these steps by hand allows Alderman’s of Vermont to put quality first.
