Dejie John MD was born and raised in Trichur Kerala India and graduated from Government Medical College Thrissur in her hometown.From there Dr. John traveled across the globe to the U.S. for residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn New York. She then went on to do a fellowship in developmental pediatrics at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. Later she found a passion for primary care in a community setting while practicing in Corbin Kentucky for 13 years and again in Fayetteville and Jacksonville North Carolina for nine years. Now that her children are grown and off to college she has found the time to provide pediatric care on evenings weekends and holidays. Dr. John found the perfect opportunity to work those hours at CHKD’s Urgent Care Center in Newport News.
