Dr. O'Neill's path to becoming a surgeon began when an orthopedic surgeon allowed her to have a cast with pink and purple stripes after a childhood injury. She wants to bring the same compassion to her surgical treatment of children at CHKD. Dr. O'Neill is originally from Wisconsin and graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. She did her general surgery residency at the University of Maryland in Baltimore.
